The last post I made was a WIP on the Nostromo icons I was working on. I was able to finish them (all 34) last night and am really happy how they turned out. I was able to get some helpful feed back from some colleagues and made adjustments to what I had started. Below is a few of them from the set. You can few the full set here.
I've been trying to think of little personal, creative projects to keep me busy and develop my skills as a designer. I decided to draw from one of my favourite sci-fi movies, Alien. Here's a peak at the progress of some iconography you can spot on the Nostromo.
I don't like to make New Years Resolutions, so I won't be labelling my return to my sketch books as such. On that note, I'm going to start doing my best to make time for myself to work on personal things in an effort to unwind at the end of most days (fingers crossed).
I've unearthed my pencil crayons and have been trying some rough drawings of animals.
I wasn't aware of 'Inktober' until this year when some of my co-workers were having a discussion about it. I use to draw more when I was in college, but I got out of the habit of it after I started university. This 'Inktober' was my first, and while I wasn't nearly able to get 31 days of drawing in, I was still able to get back into it. Here's a few of the drawings:
